Wyngate, a gated townhome community in Wyncote, Montgomery County, is gearing up for its model grand opening.

The model building, consisting of eight townhomes, will open next month. In total, 29 buildings and 34 acres of dedicated open space will comprise the community.

“We’re building a mix of eight- and six-unit buildings, with landscaping, trees, places to stroll throughout the community,” says Charlie Taylor, vice president of Matrix Residential, the company developing Wyngate. “Wyngate is on a former golf course, and the open space is one of the great features. That neighborhood is Cheltenham Township, an established suburb of Philadelphia 25 minutes from Center City. Inside, the two-story homes feature 9-foot first-floor ceilings; four-panel Colonial-style doors; wall-to-wall carpeting; kitchens with Wellborn Forest Products cabinetry in a variety of finishes, Whirlpool appliance packages and Moen faucets; and attached garages. Buyers can add a third-floor loft; including that option, 10 different floorplans are available. Other options include a sunroom with a skylight, a second master-bedroom suite, an electric fireplace, and Corian or granite countertops.

Pre-construction pricing is from $239,900 to $299,00.

Community amenities include gated entries with guest call boxes and remote resident gate control; lush landscaping throughout with Belgian-block curbing and architectural lighting; and a homeowners association that handles lawn care, snow plowing and exterior maintenance.

“It’s a great community for first-time homebuyers. We’re keeping the homeowner association fees low, the price point is affordable, we’re in a great location, and there’s a lot of flexibility in the floorplans,” says Taylor.
